I'm known around the interweb as Old Man Emu, OME for short. I live on the southwest edge of the Sydney metropolitan area. That's Sydney, Australia.

I have just received a Maker Farm 8" Prusa printer which I hope to assemble this coming weekend. I have previously built a Rockwell CNC router which I did manage to get to work, but my CAD skills were poor and I didn't get very far with it. That was a few years ago, and like all technology, home CNC has advanced astonishingly. So I'm jumping into the billabong for anotehr go at it. I also hope to build a 3D scanner based on a Konect camera.

I'm interested in making replacements for broken or damaged parts for people who are restoring old machines of all types.

I'm looking forward to participating in the activities of this community.
