Thanks guys. The printer seems in good order, I can print parts from Thingiverse. I have printed this particular part before just fine but since I made additions to it, it blows up as described.

Here is the stl and drawing in SU 8 format ( the "lingua Franca" of Sketchup).

Again, thanks for your time, I know everyone is busy but I sure appreciate the help.

Does this happen on all prints or just some? Is it repeatable on the parts it does happen on or is it a random event (sometimes the part prints fine, sometimes not)?

If it is on a particular object you may want to put op the .stl for people to examine.

Just a few ideas worth checking...

If this is happening when you start a new print... Have you tried adding a skirt so that the printer hot end get basically primed and is already extruding before it actually starts on the part?

Have you tried homing all your axis and also leveling the bed before printing? Z-axis?

Readjusting the tension on your belts?

Placing a fan at the printer motherboard on the back of the printer? It can over heat easier then you think. When it overheats it can skip steps, causing randomly looking prints. I'd recommend this even if your issue happens to be something different, you'll still see benefit from a fan pointed at the board. I was having issues until I printed a modded cover for the board that allowed for two 40mm fans.

Your part starts to print, but only pieces here and there and in the middle the extruder looks like it is trying to print on thin air?

Its as if the parts was partially sliced or something. I've redone it, checked for errors, run it through Netfabb, flipped the part 180 degrees, etc. still not right.

Using SU 2013, Netfabb PC version, Reptier Host, SD3 printer

Thank you for your time.
