I bumped it up to 208 and still having issues, but less extreme. A bit nervous to go higher. Does anyone with a similar hotend have a recommendation for temperature?

Second attempt at this same print: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/3057/del … 0cb-cover/

this hot end has the thermistor in a different place than the stock solidoodle hot end. Since it is closer to the heating element, I would venture that it will measure closer to the actual element temperature. The stock solidoodle hot end reads 20-30 degrees lower than the actual melting point in the hot end.

That means that your temperature is actually too low and should account for the layer bonding issues you are seeing.

it might be worth trying this experiment to find the optimal setting. Its on my to-do list too...

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:35088

I replaced my hotend with an 'MG Plus Hot End' from eBay. I ran a PID autotune and updated the configuration for those values, but no other updates. I'm currently extruding at 200º C and not sure if I should adjust my temperature due to the thermistor screwing into the heater block?

I also recently purchased an Octave rainbow spool. Printed the MK5 assembly in blue, then this print shown below. The MK5 came out pretty good, with some minor warping. This is the first print with the new assembly, but I don't see how that could be related.

So new hotend, new ABS, new extruder assembly, and now I am experiencing pretty severe layer adhesion issues. Any suggestions?

Additional Info:
Enclosure with top
QU-BD bed at 85º
Only prior hotend experience with the standard SD hotend
Only used Octave natural and black before this with no adhesion issues
Same design has been printed in black w/no issue
