Oh yeah Vero Black in 110 F heat in direct sun? Toast. Vero Black in a nice climate controled office or home? Pretty darn nice stuff. I have used the Krypton Green ABS Like material from our Connex and made short run injection tooling shot on an 80 ton 6 oz shot press. Geometery dependant but it worked nicely. So you have the good and the bad with Objet but a good established machine in the industry.
Now with Stratasys picking themup they should have an even better support base and more market share with their sales staff selling them. 3D's jetting machines never seemed to take off. And their first ever line of jetting machines from about 8-9 years ago were nothing but headaches.

Charles_Xavier wrote:

I will say that the Objet VeraBlack parts WILL warp in 110F weather.

Everyone I know who has purchased a Projet machine that uses the wax support hates it with a passion. Objet does good. The material will have some creep issues if under load for a while and the heat deflection is low on the vero materials but amazing on the ABS like if you get a Connex that can run Digital Materials. No machine on the market is a silver bullet that will fit the bill every time on every part and every geometery. If someone tells yo their machine will do everything you want it too they are lying to you.

My 2 cents. Hope that helps.

Does anyone have any personal experience with the Objet 30 or the Projet 3510 series machines? I know there are pros/cons to both. I can not seem to get a (non-salesman) answer to which machine requires more post processing of the part after it is printed.

Projet-

Pros: Support material melts away

Cons: Support material requires a multi stage approach to remove.

Objet-

Pros: No wax

Cons: I have heard that the Objet material degrades over time, not sure if true.

Thanks, George
