It should always run if the printer is powered.

There are two Teflon blocks at the rear of the assembly. You can loosen the bolt  at the bottom, pinch the Teflon blocks together and tighten the bolt. This should remove the wiggle. Just don't tighten it to much, you don't want it to bind.

I have my SD2 for 1 week now, it´s quite hot here in germany these days, but the extruder stepper motor fan never started.
Do I have to switch it on manualy or what?

And.... by the way: The extruder assembly has 2 metal shafts, should this assembly be tight, or, like it is out of my box: I can wag the assembly a bit.
