I'm new to 3D printing, but am getting excited about it.

My new SD2 was ordered a couple weeks ago (#13019) and I'm awaiting it's arrival.  Looking forward to being frustrated from what I've been reading here.

Lots of great stuff here, thank you all.  I'm sure it's going to help a ton getting started and staying running.  I've already taken some of what I have read here to heart & started to prepare for my SD to get here.

My interest in SD is work related, researching whether it will help with my job.  I'm a plastics mold designer by trade (35 years and counting) - I make 3D models all day every day - using Solidworks.  However, as it would seem that most in this forum, it's also about having fun and learning new tricks.  Even the old dogs like me can learn a new trick now and again.
