I have a Toshiba Satellite with windows 7 x 64 home edition.
The software is Repetier-Host from the Solidoodle site.
The drivers are FTDI as recommended by Solidoodle.
When I installed the Repetier-Host software the drivers wouldn't work.
I attempted a manual install but "windows can't find the driver"
All of the instructions for doing this came from either Solidoodle or FTDI.
Finally I went to the driver list and installed the FTDI driver.
It installed on COM4.
When I tried to connect the Repetier-Host "access to COM4 is denied"
Now I am back to square one.
I am over my head here. I'm near 65 and used to toasters and such.

So first off give us some specifics of your setup and a kind of order of things you have tried... ie. what version of windows are you using? where you got the drivers for the printer? have you installed any service packs for windows?
