Spray it with some extra hold hairspray, and you will get good adhesion. If the print ever sticks too well, you can then easy remove the glass, set it aside, and cool off before plucking the print off.</p><p>This is noticeable if you ever finish a print, turn the machine off as you head to bed, then take it off in the morning. Since it had time to cool down to ambient temps, the adhesion to the surface is reduced. I can recall spending my evenings on Soliforum learning more, and hearing a &quot;glassy pop&quot;. This pop sound was the print loosening naturally.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>You actually want that kind of adhesion. PLA can be printed on a non-heated bed with good results, but personally, I get better results between 60-70. But as long as you are getting good results, that is what matters.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>OK, I dialled down the extruder temp to closer to 160C and am getting much better results. Brought the bed down to 30C though which is clearly too low but at 60C I couldn&#039;t get the print off the bed for love nor money.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Click on the Print Settings (with gear insignia) at the top right hand corner in RH. You will see defualt extruder and bed temps.<br />Anytime I switch between ABS or PLA, I have to not only switch my Slic3r setting, but also adjust the Print Setting to match my slice profile.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Not sure which setting I need to change to remove the &#039;fluff&#039; I&#039;m getting on some parts of the print (corners mainly) when the extruder looks like it continues to extrude while moving over spaces to get to the next print location. It is depositing tiny bits of PLA as it arrives at its location and makes contact with existing parts of the build.</p><p>I can see that the extruder wheels are pausing though as they should. My extruder is calibrated but I&#039;m not getting the same quality results as previously when using ABS. Anyone more experienced have some suggestions as I&#039;m running bed @ 60C and extruder at 170C?</p>]]></description>

It still changes to 195.</p><p>Then I figured out the temp is set by the slicer so I went into Slic3r options and created a PLA temperature seting at 180.</p><p>Still the temperature would get set to 195.</p></blockquote></div><p>Did you bother to save your settings?&nbsp; It sounds as if you entered the new value but did not save it, so when you exited the slic3r configuration, (where it was not saved) the program reverted to last known save.</p><p>To save the configuration you will see a drop down box, beside that is a blue square.&nbsp; You need to click on that blue square and it will prompt you for a name.&nbsp; Enter the name like &quot;PLA bed tmp&quot;, then it will save it.&nbsp; </p><p>Remember to have more than one save name.&nbsp; As different settings will work for different setups.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Slic3r sets the temperature too.&nbsp; I guess someone could change the Slic3r temp to 20c and having the custom code set it back to 195 would keep them from hurting themselves.&nbsp; </p><p>However, on the flip side, one of the first things I had to do was take apart the extrude puzzle to fix a clog because my PLA melted up at the top.</p>]]></description>

It will just throw errors and do stupid things. just change&nbsp; M104 S195 -&gt; M104 S180 and M109 S195 -&gt; M109 S180</p><p>It is set that way because solidoodle ships ABS ready. You can just have 2 different settings and just comment out the one you don&#039;t want to use.</p><p>M104 S195; This one sets the temp for ABS and starts heating<br />;M104 S180; This one sets the temp for PLA and starts heating but is commented out right now</p><p>same goes for</p><p>M109 S195; This one waits for the extruder to get to 195C for ABS then starts printing<br />;M109 S180; This one waits for the extruder to get to 180C for PLA then starts printing but is commented out right now</p>]]></description>

It still changes to 195.</p><p>Then I figured out the temp is set by the slicer so I went into Slic3r options and created a PLA temperature seting at 180.</p><p>Still the temperature would get set to 195.</p><p>Finally, I went to the custom gcode setting for the Soliddoode in Slic3r and I saw the following:</p><p>G21; set mm units<br />G28 ;home all axis<br />G90; set absolute coordinates<br />G92 E0; reset extruder distance<br /><strong>M104 S195; set extruder temp and start heating</strong><br />G1 Z5 F300 ;move platform down 5mm<br />G1 X145 Y145 F3000 ; move to back right corner<br />M109 S195; wait for extruder temp to be reached<br />G1 Z[first_layer_height] F200 ;move platform close to nozzle<br />;G1 E7; extruder anchor<br />G1 F3000; Set Feed rate for first move<br />G92 E0; reset extrusion distance</p><p>Slic3r would set my temperature to 180, then include the custome gcode above.&nbsp; Note the M104 line that resets the temperature to 195.</p><p>I removed the line and now Slic3r and everything now works fine.</p><p><strong>Anyone know why the temperature is hard coded to 195</strong>?
