My biggest complaint after I upgraded to the j-head was that there was no good fan duct that worked with it. Well, here we are.
Good stuff here.

I've installed a J-head extruder on our SD2 and it's working great, but it needed a fan back on it for .1mm layers and PLA. I had used Ian Johnson's ducted 40mm mount, but that had needed modification with the original extruder head as it wouldn't fit under the x-carriage. The new J-head is shorter than the original extruder so the new fan duct for it needed some major mods to avoid the x-carriage and still direct air around the the rear of the hot end. It also needed to be able to direct air directly at the cooling fins of the J-head to compensate for the duct being in front of it.

Here are some pictures of the finished mod mounted to my modified Lawsy MarkIV extruder mount (which the J-head fits beautifully).
