You can switch drivers around or just switch the stepper plugs around for a quick test

*** make sure there is no power to the printer when removing or inserting plugs!!! ***

as for the clogged print nozzle if there is any...even the tiniest bit of burnt plastic still in the melt chamber it will eventually make it's way to clog the extruder also bad filament can contain impurities that cause clogs.

My solidoodle2 extruder died on me mid-print.
It seemed to be a clogged head, so I took that off and cleaned it out. After reattaching it extruded correctly for about 3 minutes, then stopped again (can't even hand push filament through while hot, and I verified it was at the right temp with an IR thermometer). Now on top of that, the extruder motor has stopped working: it won't turn, even with the acrylic assembly removed, even though I can turn it by hand with the power off.

So, I've got a repeat offender clogging head, and an extruder motor going nowhere.
OK, I ordered a replacement hot end.

But the motor: should I just order a replacement motor, or the extruder assembly?
And could the pololu driver have gone bad instead of the motor? (and were do I order those from?)
