"Seeing as how the other motors appear to work, I would wager that the issue is one of the stepper chips. If you'd like, we can see about selling you one, so that you might swap it out. Otherwise, there are a large number of suppliers of similar stepper chips.

]]> Thu, 09 May 2013 16:50:29 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/22282/#p22282 <![CDATA[Problem with SD2 Extruding]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/22207/#p22207 Recently during mid print my SD2 stopped extruding plastic.  The stepper motor is rocking back and fourth in about a 1mm increment.  I have had the printer for several months and I am familiar with most of the basic trouble shooting.  I have checked all of the connections and the extruder still heats up.  I can push the filament through manually.  I tried swapping the z axis and extruder connections at the motherboard to see if the problem is with the motor.  The issue moved to the z axis with that stepper displaying the same symptom.  So I think that my problem is with the motherboard or the driver for the steppers.  I also noticed that the l.e.d. on the motherboard is no longer lit when the printer is connected and on.
