			<description><![CDATA[<p>You started a nylon thread?! Wow, my jacket has a bunch of them...</p><p>I&#039;ve printed nylon on my Makerbot, and it&#039;s nice stuff (very durable part and very pliable when printed thinly) except that I could not get it to stick through an entire print unless I used cardboard.&nbsp; Most have had good luck printing on a circuit board without heating, but I didn&#039;t have anything around I didn&#039;t mind destroying.</p><p>I guess one could always replace the hotend with a 3rd party&#039;s, but most of the one&#039;s I&#039;ve seen have PEEK or PTFE inserts and will melt like Solidoodles.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Okay, I got my SD printing happily with PLA and ABS plastic, but recently came across &#039;Nylon 618 1.75 filament&#039; at a local store. It costs twice as much as ABS (about 50$ per 500g), but is a lot better for stuff like gears, etc. <br />Anyway, the drawback is the temperature. It needs 240-250 degrees extruder temp, so my question here is: Has anybody tried to go up THAT extreme in heating the extruder? What (apart from the acrylic) might get screwed up in such mode?</p>]]></description>
