That will get you a much better setup for the extruder portion at least...

Then you need to source a motor to drive it. I used an old (I think it is a wheelchair motor) and 3d printed a gear reduction drive for it and that works very well and is quiet.

Then you need to figure out how to heat it, I actually ended up carefully wrapping a single layer of kapton tape around the barrel and then wrapping nichrome wire around that to create two heat zones for really cheap. It has been working for me for a really long time. Get a PID controller for the heater and some temp sensors.

I would also recommend not going with a filawinder system but instead an arduino with a dedicated puller and diameter sensor so you dont have to deal with a delicate strand of filament sagging from the nozzle. I am still working on mine but I have gotten so much further than the filastruder kit.

Earlier this year, I looked again, but now find it's unavailable, witn no ETA for when it might be available again.

I've contacted support@filastruder.com, but they basically restate the "no ETA" message, which, to me, indicates there are no plans to ever restart production.

The Filastruder looks to me like the ideal kit for a hobbyist since there's lots of scope to tinker. Something like the Felfil Evo looks too much like a black box, so I'd like to get hold of one, if possible, by getting all parts.

I can see that several of the parts (gearmotor, chassis, enclosure, etc) are available on the Filastruder site but would need a complete list to assemble a full kit.

Nuts, bolts, electronic components, etc aren't a problem, but things like the control board PCB and certain mechanical parts might be difficult to get.

First, I notice that the PCBs (popuklated or not) don't seem to be listed. Can they be bought or are the Gerber files (or similar) available at a reasonable price to get new ones made?

Also, the tube and heater assembly (or parts) isn't listed; can this be bought as a 'spare part'? There's probably other bits I'm not even aware of that are't listed as spares'

The Filaspooler kit appears to still be available, so it's only the Filastruder parts I'd need to get to make my own setup. Obviosly, there's no point buying a Filaspooler without the Filastruder.

Is it possible to get a full list of all the parts and if they can be bought or copies made?
