The ultimaker S3 uses Cura and when I changed from the .4 nozzle to the .8 nozzle in Cura it made all the changes
including slowing from 70mm/s to 35mm/s But it did not change the TEMP. but I have not had any problems.

after some test runs I started printing Biastape makers again for the people in the area making masks. the one i am printing calls for 2 shells .24 layer thickness no infill and it was taking about 1Hr each print. But with the .8 nozzle with the same layer thickness same settings bit only 1 shell I am getting 2 in that hour time frame.

Dale

funny thing about that general 75% rule.. the larger you go in nozzle diameter, the lower that percentage is going to get.
found this out when I put the volcano on the FT 5 a while back.. a 0.8 nozzle will perform best at more like 0.45-0.5 layer height - and yes, definitely increase temps a fair bit as you are flowing a lot more plastic..

I just got in a .8mm Printcore (nozzle) for my printer
starting off with PLA 200°C and .3 mm layer thickness 35mm/s print speed. I have a couple places where the filament did not bond. so I will raise the temp. But what is the max Good layer thickness I can go with this Nozzle and PLA.

Thanks
Dale
