I tried clicking on the image you uploaded capibara but it didn't work. Can you reupload your iimage? If anyone knows if it's possible to dissolve wood glue so you can get the good pieces out of the broken platform, I may have a solution for you. Unfortunately I don't have all the pieces. If you have a 3D printer and some design skills, you can 3D print the missing pieces yourself.

they made an aluminum bed when SD3 used it I have one on my SD2 that had the wooden one. good luck finding parts as SD went byebye couple years ago thanks to China. I may sell 1 of my 3 spare wooden beds if I dont use them as I have 3 SD2 units trying to make 1-2 usable printers with all the parts

They came with metal. My 2 was a Christmas gift in 2013, it has a metal bed. Someone out there should have one, or it doesn't look terribly hard to make. Couple of bends and a few rivets. Distance between Z rod centers is 82mm, 72mm between rod edges.

I haven't seen a replacement bed option for the SD2 but you could probably fix that bed with some wood glue and clamps. That would at least get you running while you come up with a better long-term solution.

Out of curiosity, can you measure the distance between the two Z rods? I am wondering if the SD2 and SD3 have the same dimensions. If they do I can probably CAD something up.

dont think they ever made a metal one for the 2, but not positive about that..

You may want to take a look at Azerate's post about what he did with his.. look in the "Hacks and Mods" section

Hi,

I just rescued an old Solidoodle 2 that someone was throwing out. It has all the original parts, it turns on, etc. Unfortunately the wood bed sled is broken. Anyone have a metal SD2 sled for sale or that they want to get rid of? Alternatively, does anyone know of a good replacement design out there that I can build?
