I did try by hand, but for the life of me, I couldn't. Not even with a dry piece of cloth. The thing wouldn't budge.

That sounds like it may be binding. That would require a tear down to find the reason. If it is still under warranty and you don't want to risk it then it sounds like you might want to contact the manufacturer and see about getting a replacement or repair which ever they do.

Already did. Waiting for what they have to say.

Sounds like the vref for the motor is too low. But that is just a guess since that is a printer we have not seen around here before.

I guess the Sonic Mini hasn't picked up in popularity I see, haha.

If, in fact, that the vref is low, does that mean that it can move but very minimally? Because I've pressed the manual movement for the Z axis more than 15 times and it doesn't budge one bit.

Does anyone know the problem/solution to this?
