It wouldn't be too bad to replace the bushings with flanged linear bearings. You could secure them to the sled with some drilled and tapped holes. Ideally the OD would match the size of the OD of the bushings. Something like this: https://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/1 … 0001422003

My most reliable SD2 has been down for repairs for about 5 months. While working around an INSANE work schedule, I've repleaced two Z motors and two 3/8" leadscrews and I still have Z binding. This printer dubbed the Spookidoodle has been an absolute workhorse for me, and I thought it deserved a second chance at life. So, I decided to make a completely new bed sled from scratch using 2020 extrusions, printed parts, and some upgrades like a 8mm leadscrew that glides smoother than glass, and a new motor just for kicks. This is something I've been wanting to do for a few years, but never had the time or energy in the same moment. This is a prototype ready to install after printing the last two parts. From my measurements, it should work for SD3 aside from the length. I should be ready to install and test by the end of the week. Let me know if anyone is interested in specs or updates.
