OK folks this weekend in my spare time decided t upgrade the FT I3 a bit . I have ha a titan on it with an E#D v6 and I have an aero that has ben siting so added the aero a new heater block heater , therisistor , nozzle silcica skin and last but not least a bit smaller motor.
One of these
https://www.printedsolid.com/collection … h25-1004ac

the motor just clicks. when I turn the gear wheel I feel no binding . the motor ohm out fine like about 6 ohms per coil. This is through the cabling.
switching to the x axis it still pretty much just clicks and makes noise . also adjusting the v ref does no good changes the volume e that is about it.

So when I have time I will put the old motor back on and talk to the vendor.
from what I understand motor failures are rare and I have never had an out of box failure on one . but that seems to be the case.
Hmmm

Any suggestions welcome . As you guys know I am not a newby and I troubleshoot electronics for a living .
