Is there any way to achieve a layer pause to swap filament?

I have tried this command in S3D scripts but it paused, raised and went straight back to printing.

{REPLACE "; layer 9, Z = " "\nG91\nG1 Z20 F5000\nG90\nM0\n; layer 9, Z = "}
