You will need heat and join the connection between two end of the filament without increase the diameter of the filament (it will jam if the joint is too big), if you don't heat and join the two filament end, the risk of jam is high.

The is a equipment called Palette from Mosaic can do this automatically and the joint quality is great, but the price is not reasonable.
https://www.mosaicmfg.com/

Not recommending you to buy a palette, but you can watch the video and get the idea how they fuse the filament, if you don't need too complicated color change, find a way to do it manually.

Hey guys, just a quick post and a question, all rolled into one here.
I have had my Mini for about 2 years and am about to get treated to something a bit bigger. But for now It's the Mini, it is a great little machine. Anyway I tried something the other day. Half way through a build I cut the filament near the entrance and then put in another colour, it kind of worked so I got a little bit adventurous and got a bit carried away resulting in some nozzle jams and some small gaps in the print. I also noticed as the filament was traveling up the pipe there were gaps where the retractor done its thing, So I am now wondering, if I was to change the retraction setting from 4mm to 1, could this cause problems?
