To answer the question, it is 2pin JST 2.54mm.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MC … &psc=1

I would not recommend buying the kits unless you think you will do this a lot. And you might need a cramping tool to make it right.

Actually I think buy a fan is a good idea, cost similar, but you get a better fan. the fan came with E3D clone is not good. I would recommend 12V 40mm ball bearing that can do >8cfm (and ideally but not necessary have to be quite fan <33dB-A).

Your fan can be connected to the terminals directly via solder.

You can reuse a set of cables like the breadboard jumpers which have the right pin headers to allow easy connection, splice them in to the cable with a dose of heat shrink and bobs your uncle.

You could buy a fan with the correct fitting, they are aplenty on the world biggest technology dump site... I bought 12 x 12v fans for as little as £5 all inclusive.

As for fans themselves, a brushless 12v in any language is 12 v brusheless, however, the current it requires and if it needs a 3rd wire for feedback, these are factors.

So remember what carl_m1968 said, it may be a JST variant... and with that I will add... If you look hard enough, you often find the same spec as a generic.

Good luck, the internet is a minefield of people clawing for your dollars so don't be reeled in by the first offer, nor by the offer that is so amazing you are buying it as we speak, STOP... Butter offers are very common phishing scams, never ever working when you buy the product and in the case of USB's some scams are the product themselves because by the time you discover that its a dud product, the vendors long gone.

Hey everyone. This is my first time posting. I've had an anet a8 for a while now and finally decided to go bowden. I picked up a e3d v6 clone and put it together today. The one thing I couldn't figure out is how to wire the clip on fan to the fan connector on my board. The fan it came with had plain striped ended wires but the board is a plastic 2pin connector. I finally decided just to splice the new wires with the wires from the old fan connector. This was working for two small prints untill it shorted and melted the insulation down the whole length of the wire. Luckily I was home and had installed a power switch so nothing caught fire. What do you think I did wrong? Is there a better way of doing this. Thanks for your help
