i found a da vinci mini  .fff profile but the first few lines of a print is horrendous. that or the filament will ball up
anyone have a S3d profile? i know it's not the printer itself because if i use xyzware it prints "fine". just looking to see if S3d was better software

The profile only gets you in the ballpark as it is machine specific. When I say machine specific I mean just that, not brand or model specific but machine specific. Every machine is different even under the same brand and model. So every profile will vary to some degree and will still require tweaks for a specific machine. The profile will simply get you in the ballpark and save a little time.
