So I have a Davinci 1.0a with an E3D, Repetier firmware, and otherwise stock hardware. I've recently fitted a capacitive sensor to my CR10s and I've loved it, so now I want to do the same to my old Davinci 1.0a.

So far I got the electronics sorted. I'm using an LJC18A3-H-Z/BX capacitive sensor and a simple optocoupler board. This stuff is cheap, and can be had for less than $10 from China:

optocoupler: https://tinyurl.com/ycks43d3
sensor: https://tinyurl.com/y8e2y5h4

I'm grabbing 12V from the board itself and powering the sensor with that, and the optocoupler is wired to a JST 2.0 connector which I've plugged into the door sensor (top left corner on the board). When I issue M121 I can see that the sensor is working and the firmware is able to tell me its state. I've also printed a modified hot end mount with space to mount the sensor.

Next step is to modify the Repetier firmware to use the door sensor pin as a leveling sensor.

Thoughts, tips?
