I set the auto tune for 5 cycles at 180 degrees and took the set of numbers right before the line that said the test was complete. Double checked the EPROM settings after putting the numbers in and saving them.

After PID it shouldn't fluctuate like you're describing.

Are you sure you entered the last set of PID's that came up after it completed?

My temps still fluctuate, especially at the beginnings of prints where it will swing up to 10 degrees either side of my set temp. I have a roll of white ABS that likes 180, but at the beginning of a print the temp can swing to just below 170 and stop extruding cause it's too cold. I thought auto tuning was supposed to keep the temps to within a couple of degrees?
