$31.42 for the board (that includes a set of 11mm 3D-printed stand-offs and a jumper cable) and an extra $7 for a soldered DRV8834 stepper drive, unless you already happen to have one. I can send you more info through PM.

Red line lasers are fine ~ 5mW 5V red laser (650 nm) - the size depends upon the clamp, for some it is a 12 x 30mm line laser. It depends on what you want to build. You can also run a 3.2V laser at 5V and it should be okay. Aixiz sells them for $6 each.

Stepper motors can either be 0.9 or 1.8 degrees (You would only need to adjust the steps/turn). The height is important to consider regarding the design you use (e.g. the type of turntable and tower). For the Piclop, I am using a 200 Steps/Rev, 42×38mm, 2.8V, 1.7 A/Phase stepper motor that I purchased from Pololu. I have assembled scanner boards if you are interested.

Thank you for your reply.
My problem at the moment is that I can't find any info on the lasers or the steppermotor.
The rest of the electronics I can probably work out.
The Electronic design files on freelss just links to two png-files of a fritzing-design, not really as much help as a partslist and a schematics would have been.

And very nice looking board!

There is the freeware version of FreeLSS that you can download and install. You can also either purchase a software license for the full version ($25) or purchase the hardware + electronics kit at http://store.murobo.com. Since the basic circuit design is available, you can also make your own scanner board and source the other parts (e.g. lasers, stepper motor, driver, power supply). I went and sourced all the parts myself since I liked the PiClop design (a cross between the Atlas Pi-powered scanner and the Ciclop Arduino-powered scanner; look for PiClop on Thingiverse) and made my own board (see attached).

Hi,

I'm having some trouble understanding if this is open source/HW or not?
When I read at freelss.org it says "FreeLSS is a free as in open source, open hardware, and open electronic design ...", but I can't seem to find a parts list for the electronics?
And when I read about Atlas 3D, I read about software serial number etc.
Hopefully someone clarify for me?

Thanks :-)
