Ok, sounds good.

Never used the multiplier i RH, more then once by accident.

A little of topic ....
To print 0.2 layer-height, do you originate from the 0.1 or the 0.3 profile (if use the one provided by solidoodle)
And do you change anything else then that specific setting "layer-height" or what it's called.

I understand that there is no ultimate settings that work for everything.
My intention was only to see others "generic settings".

Thanks

Keep upping your speed settings by 5mm at a time as long as you are still happy with the output. The speeds you can achieve can really vary print to print based on the the level of detail and geometry of the model.

If you are printing something that has a lot of short sharp turns, a slower speed will help. But if you are printing something that is pretty organic and the extruder is following smooth round paths then you should be safe with higher printing speeds.

I normally use my base speeds and use the Speed Multiplier slider in the RH Print tab to increase/decrease speeds in realtime during the print.

Looking through Ian's blog it seems to be ok to have a higher speed on small perimeters if you are using a fan?
http://solidoodletips.wordpress.com/2012/07/30/slic3r/

it this i true, it would dramatically increase your total printing-time.
(But could this decrease quality)

I wonder what "counts" as "small" perimeter?

Hi,

I'm using the settings that are bundled with the delivery for 0.1 mm printing (provided by solidoodle-team?)
So far I have not tampered much with the settings but I find that prints are really slow.

For the moment I'm at work and don't have access to my current settings for this post.
But I do remember that the perimeters (the small ones in particular) are done in at speeds of 30 mm / s

Is this really necessary?

What settings are you using, share your thoughts (and settings)
