(For example even some ABS extrudes way faster or results in much better quality than some other ABS). It's always possible your specific resin of PVDF isn't as easy to work with as some other specific resin of PVDF might be - eg things like the viscosity might be different.

Are you using it vertical or horizontal? Some pellet types lock together more and don't flow in evenly. Also, try lowering temperatures. First, try to get it consistent, it might be consistently too big, but that's ok, just get it consistent first. If you find that a lower temperature produces consistent filament that is just oversized then order an undrilled nozzle and drill it to be smaller than 1.6mm by whatever size you are over. Eg, if you get it to be consistent at a lower temperature and it keeps coming out 2mm with a 1.6mm nozzle, then try drilling a new nozzle to 1.3-1.4mm instead.

Considering what the material is I wouldn't feel comfortable anywhere near 230 for sure. Also, beware adding any colorants - the SDS makes mention that the type of material typically used in white colorant can cause premature thermal decomposition.

Hi folks,

Did anyone ever extrude PVDF? I purchased a filastruder recently (3262), and it works well with ABS. However, when I extrude PVDF pellets, the filament with irregular shapes comes out (please see the pictures). I tried different temperature (200, 210, 220, 230), but still cannot get good filaments. Does anybody know what happen? The PVDF is Kynar 710.

Thanks
