There are many different design like this, print with PLA, put your container and other small item like screw driver stuff in different unit. It reduce risk of spill and keep printer area organized. You can also print some nice design desk organizer or pen holder for your wife to smooth things out.

I bumped a small can of it while I was cleaning the Printer bed. It rolled under the bench and before I could get it half of was on the floor. ( my wife was livid ) it happened over Christmas vacation I had to re-tile the laundry room floor I still hear about it every time I run the printer. she said she would actually prefer I did my printing outside. NOT GONA HAPPIN.

I've never had an issue with the container it comes in. But then I only ever use it over the sink just in case.

If you are printing on kapton tape and use acetone to clean it I found a spill proof container.
after I spilled a pint in the laundry room and had to replace the tile.
