they said it was a bad solder join inside, so presumably he opened it up, found that bad joint, and resoldered it.

This is fixed - it was a bad solder joint inside the controller.

your wiring incomplete from the manual its needs a jumper 8/9 to positive and 10 which is gnd..

Hi all,

Hoping for a little assistance with my new filastuder setup - my PID doesn't appear to be powering on.

I'm assuming it should power on when 12V is supplied to pins 9 and 10 (+ to 9), from the filastuder wiring diagram.

I've checked I am actually getting 12V and tried connecting directly to pins 9 and 10 (ie. all other wiring removed). Doing a quick search I dont see anyone whose had these issues before. Does a button need to be pressed to power on or is there something else I'm missing?

Any help appreciated.
