Hey, notes would be great, I don't know if I'll ever put it back to stock firmware or not, but it never bursts to have info. I had to use an older version of arduino too, don't know what I was doing wrong. As to what method I was trying to use, I tried to reflashed from the command prompt. Should have worked that way, but it couldn't find the firmware or some such similar issue. Been a few months so I can't exactly remember. I was probably doing something wrong.

giving an update, after fighting with various softwares in my spare time, i finally managed to reflash my printer to repeiterhoast. it seems to be working better now, and as soon as i replace the inline fuse that i had installed on the heating element, ill know if its fully working. it seemed to be before the fuse shot.

I don't think there is firmware version limitation or model limitation for Repetier-firmware. I would not recommend RAMPS conversion unless Repetier-firmware is not possible.

By doing so he has corrupted the boot loader. He might be able to flash Repetier but even that is doubtful. They did a good number on 1.0 users when they upgraded the firmware to prevent hacking by downgrade. There are warnings on nearly all the downgrade procedures that tell you if your current firmware is beyond a certain rev then attempting a downgrade will brick the printer
The only fix is new board or gutting it and converting to RAMPS.

Hopefully I'm not starting a topic that's already been covered, but i didn't see it when i did a search. possibly i overlooked it when i went through the listings.

i recently attempted to reset the firmware on my da vinci 1.0, got the black bars like i was supposed to, still shows up on the com ports, just cant seem to reflash it. i was trying to flash it to the 1.1.j firmware, but i get an error on the command prompt that says it cant load it. unfortunately i cant remember the exact wording of the error at the moment. i would like to ether set the firmware back to 1.1.j or to repeterware. has anyone had a similar issue? and does anyone know of another way to upload the firmware without going through command prompt?
