Probably because the settings aren't correct. I posted in the first reply to this thread a safe way to check the settings.

No need to tighten the barrel further, if it needs to be tightened further the motor will do that (rotation is in the direction that tightens the barrel).

I know how to check the settings, what i dont know (or at least im not sure of) is how to get them right... i did the 7 turns and the additional 2 for the CC settings, is there another way to limit the output current?

Can you take a photo of your barrel? To see how much 'a little bent' is?  Did you turn it on when you didn't have it heated at all?

i disassembled my filastruder and  checked the barrel in a lathe and is not entirely straight, the auger is still able to rotate but i dont want to risk it so i will order a spare barrell... no i didnt turn it on when it wasnt heated, a mix of PLA and some powder additive got so viscous it made the barrell rotate along the auger untill it stopped and i Heard a bad sound from the motor or the hex socket (im not sure) so i turned it off.

No, I would not recommend adding more turns. If you're exceeding 1.8A then you're exceeding the maximum design load.

Rotation of the barrel doesn't hurt anything, and assuming the barrel is tightened properly during assembly and the motor isn't overloaded, the barrel won't rotate.

Anything over 2 amps is getting in the territory of bending the barrel. The red LED indicates that current is being limited to prevent damage.

So what do i do to prevent it to go over 2 amps?

The manual does cover setting the current limit which is what you are asking.

you mean with the 7 turns clockwise to the CC adjustment? i did that and then added 2 more because eventually i would get the red LED light althought at times i would still get readings over 2.0A.
