			<description><![CDATA[<p>Edit: I thought it was for mass-production! It isn&#039;t though, at least, not exclusively!</p><p>The major theory behind it is it allows for printing of infinitely long parts. The way this would work is essentially treating the belt as a &#039;sliding window&#039;. I would assume they&#039;ve written a slicer which is able to utilize the belt and print certain areas of the print before others, in a &#039;sliding window&#039; fashion. Very cool. Much more interesting than mass-production, which as the post I just deleted pointed out, I see much less use for with FDM.</p><p>An image from the article demonstrates well:<br /><span class="postimg"><img src="https://3dprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Long-part.jpg" alt="https://3dprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Long-part.jpg" /></span></p><p>Now, I could see the part sagging due to gravity. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>It&#039;s just a regular FDM printer the difference it the bed is a belt so once a print is done the belt will advance and the part will move out of the way for the next print and eventually fall off into a catch area. It is an old concept that never caught on at the time because printers at the time where still to expensive for average users to buy and use for commercial apps. The early Cupcakes and Thing-O-Matics had a belt option for the same automation purpose. The issue and it still is an issue is getting your host to restart after one job is done. So unless it comes with a custom host that will loop the print job there really is&nbsp; no need for this type of printer. </p><p>Based on the article if you read it, it uses all the standard types of filament. There is a heater under the belt to keep the print area the required temp for ABS.</p>]]></description>
