Tim here from Filastruder. Tin Falcon covered it mostly. E3D parts are upgrades for 3D printers. We sell them (and other 3D printer upgrades) as well as the Filastruder.

I am a little confused as to what you are trying to accomplish here with a filastruder if you do not own a 3d printer. Are you planning on building or purchasing one??
A filastruder is for making filament for 3d printers.
Choose the size for the printer you are planning on getting??
Many types of plastic not all read the posts.
the ed3 hot ends are arguable the best hot ends for 3d printers they are customizable to meet the needs of users and printers.

Hello all! New to this forum, but I am an active member on quite a few others. I do not own a 3d printer but i have a CNC machine, and i have been investing in small plastic machines to make my own plastic to carve.

I was lead to this forum by filastruder, and was hoping to ask a few questions in regards to their setups. (i know this may not be the right location, so if i should repost these questions elsewhere let me know!

-I have ordered a small shredder setup thru precious plastic that will be here shortly, as opposed to ordering the extrusion through them as well, i figured i'd go with filastruder because of their options, location, etc. Now onto the questions!

1. Should I order the 1.75mm nozzle or the 3.0? and Why?

2. Does it work with every type of plastic?

3. Is the filawinder kit worth the $170 right off the bat?

4. What's up with all the E3D options? should i be looking into ordering something else off the website?

Right now I'm just looking to do this fairly small scale, trial and error. Learn how to make products out of plastic and maybe upgrade further down the road.
