Hi, I've just started assembling my Filastruder. I'm at the step where, I need to check the setting on the stall protection board. I have connected the power supply to input and the heater to the output. Set the 15,7 turns. The readings i'm getting are 11.7V,6.7V,1.76A,11.9P. (lights on: Red,Blue). On tweaking the CC,CV: I get 11.6V,11.0V,2.88A,31.1P (lights on:Red,Blue)

- Instead of cutting the power adapter cable. I purchased a female plug for it (the cable attached reads 18awg, and has thin black and red cables inside)

Need Help !!!

The "U" reading is volts, it is actually a "V" but that's can't be displayed.

The "P" reading is power, so watts (volts times amps).

The "A" reading is in amps, as in the amps presently being drawn by the motor. The display cannot show the current limit, just the presently drawn current. The reason I give the current limit in amps in addition to number of turns is in case you notice that the current limit is being reached while say 1.2 amps is being drawn - in that case you could add a few turns.

it also gives you an idea of how much motor power remains. For example if you're extruding ABS at 0.8A, the motor is running at about half of the rated torque. You're running at 0.25A, so about 15% of available torque. That is the primarily torque needed to overcome friction in the gearbox.

There's a red LED to the left of the green and blue LEDs. If that illuminates, the current limit has been reached and the board is limiting current to the motor.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have further questions.

Just finished putting the filastruder together. Im trying to fine tune the Stall Protection Board, and after following the instructions to turn the CV and CC the correct number of times after the zero mark, these are my readings. Im assuming the 0.25A reading is for Amps? If so I believe my reading is too low, as the directions referenced a "current limit of 1.4-1.6 amps". Is this true? I am quite new to all this so I would just like to double check my work before I start using it! Also, I am not sure which LED light to pay attention to? Thanks in advance!
