If you have not pull the gantry fully forward and make sure that both sides touch the forward pulleys. If not then your belt on the side that is not touching has slipped a tooth or more. Some times you can just give it a good tug and cause it to skip back. Other wise you will have to loosen the tensioners and adjust it by hand.

check to see if the x rods are square to the y rods looks like  either a belt slipped or something got bumped out of alignment in shipping

Also after you make sure the carriage is square and belts tight make sure the grub/set screws are tight on the drive pulleys.
out of round  circles was a common problem on the Solidoodle 4s as well.
IMHO looks like a basic hardware adjustment issue.

i watched the video and found another post on this forum regarding distortion duh!

how ever even after doing all the adjustments i still get this:

the top one is the first try the bottom after adjusting the belts
would a different slicer help?

any help would be greatly appreciated
