The Z leadscrew is drilled in the end to accept the stepper shaft.. yours must be drilling them deeper than mine but it doesn't matter unless it comes off or starts slipping.

I got it stopped somehow . Take a look at this picture. It appears that the Z rod was pulled down into the motor casing. I never noticed what it looked like before this happened tho.Is the Z rod attached by a coupling or how?
