			<description><![CDATA[<p>OK thanks, whew I am learning. So to answer Aaron, Slic3r already does that.</p><p>One thing I wish for slicer software is:<br />1: control of the inner perimeter order. I notice sometimes on my first layer it will inner then outer then inner again or parts of the outer then innner and back. Basically creating small islands on the bed. They all cool differently then when it comes back on 2nd layers it can either pull up or drag or creates blobs at each start stop point.</p><p>2: change speed/infill properties for various layers after it has been sliced/ Like in RH after I see that say of a 90 layer print the ledge on layer 3 might be thing I can say add extra top layers for layers 30-35 and perimeters or more dense infill. as well as the speed.</p><p>3: Support: I dont like when I turn it on it supports the whole model over 45deg or whatever I set to. This is a waste and creates support for external areas I don&#039;t need. Same as above, after sliced i wish I could define a region to add support and/or add/remove a surface to be supported. So I can print yoda and say just support right under the chin and ignore rest of model like the ears. I know you have the degree thing but maybe to start allow a range?</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>nope that&#039;s the way you want to to go...</p><p>with regular 0.3mm printing you extrude a payer then the bed moves down 0.33mm then there&#039;s another layer. (repeat)</p><p>with 0.1 and 0.3 infil every 3 layers.<br />you do a perimeter, move down 0.1 do a perimeter move down 0.1 do a peerimeter, and the infil then move down 0.1 (repeat)</p><p>if you did the 0.3 layer first you&#039;d have to.<br />move down 0.3mm, do the infil, then move up 0.2mm to do the first 0.1mm permieter.</p><p>at which point there is a chance that you;re going to catch the nozzle on the now higher middle infill as you&#039;re extruding the outside perimeter, also if you had to move to the inside of a perimeter you;ll either have to move the bed to get the model out of the way of the head or just run the head into the model.</p><p>Then as well as Z backlash and wobble, you&#039;re going to start seeing hysteresis issues as well.</p><p>you;re right about how it does it, but it&#039;s not backwards to how it should be done!</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>German company Kühling&amp;Kühling is making one with two nozzles one with 0.1 and one with 0.3, so I imagine they can print at duel resolution in one go, neat huh?</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>I think if you did that the .3 layer nearest the outside would just &#039;show through&#039; to the last layers at .1 since the .3 layer has a bulge to it... from the original post it&#039;s hard to tell I figured same as Ian that he meant just infil at .3 but like Ian says slicer already does that...</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>I think he&#039;s proposing to somehow print the entire model at .3 (including perimeters not exposed to air) with just a single outer layer at a higher resolution.&nbsp; If you print an object with a high wall thickness this could speed that up a bit more than just infill at .3.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Slic3r does this with the print infill every N layers setting.&nbsp; The Solidoodle .1mm profile has it enabled by default.&nbsp; You can&#039;t use it with .3mm because it can&#039;t make layers thicker then the nozzle diameter.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Why can&#039;t the software be designed to print the outer layers at .1mm resolution, and then the inner layers at .3mm resolution.&nbsp; </p><p>I can&#039;t see why this wouldn&#039;t work.&nbsp; If it is possible, then it would drastically improve the quality of parts while also being very efficient.</p><p>Then we wouldn&#039;t have to work so hard to sand and acetone everything...&nbsp; Is this already possible with some software?</p><p>If it is a patentable idea, I donate it to Solidoodle!</p><p>-Aron</p>]]></description>
