After a few years playing with my solidoodle 3 I ended up with this setting that I particulary like :

- glass bed + hair spray
- lawsy extruder with E3D v6 and a reducted step motor taken from a bulldog XL extruder
- enclosure made with different parts found on thingiverse
- new power supply

I am very happy with this setup : It works really well. It is very easy to maintain. The print quality is really good. It can print most filaments, even ninjaflex.

I tried to use a bulldog XL extruder at some point but I would not recommand it : with my setup at least it reduced the build area and it was more difficult to remove the filament when something went wrong.
Actually I am so happy with the combination of lawsy extruder & reducted step motor that I am going to use it also on my p3steel...

If you live in Switzerland I found that "prix garanti" hairspray from Coop works like a charm...

The only missing feature on my printer so far is a fan...one needs to print slowly small parts...
