Unless you have replaced the motherboard with something weird or have a 30 year old copy of linux, drivers should be no problem. Almost certainly the real problem is that a name like /dev/ttyACM0 isn't the default in RH, so it has no idea where to connect. I do lots of insane stuff with my linux host, documented here:

Do you have linux drivers installed for your printer? If not then there is nothing that will connect to it since your system does not even know it exist. You are going to need to see if you can find some linux drivers and install them.. Then make sure the printer comport speed as set in the configuration.h file and the comport in RH is set for the same speed.

I have just started into using linux on one of my laptops. I am having some issues with getting my printer going. I have installed RH on the laptop. I have a shortcut on the desktop for RH. I can open RH but it does not connect to the printer.
good USB cable and connection
Anyone have any ideas?
