]]> Wed, 25 May 2016 08:21:37 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/123354/#p123354 <![CDATA[Re: Wiring Stepper Motor]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/123328/#p123328 Just turn it down while it's moving till just before it stalls.  Then back up a tiny little bit.  Make sure you use a non conductive screw driver.  Remember a very little turn makes a huge difference.  The data sheets will only get you close and ultimately to truly dial them in you need to do it by feel and ear anyways.  If you start this while the motor is cool you should be able to tell when it's perfect and it simply won't hear up as much.

With no leads connected, rotate the motor shaft by hand.  It should turn freely and you would feel very small "steps".  Now, of the four leads coming from the motor, select 2 and twist the bare ends together.  Rotate the motor shaft by hand again.  If you feel no difference, then switch one of the leads from your twisted pair to another lead.  Try to spin the motor again.  When you have a proper pair tied together, the motor will be very difficult to turn by hand.  You have now located a coil pair.  The other 2 leads will be the other "pair".

Now wire these pairs into the connector from left to right with the first pair, then the second pair.

This should work...if the rotation is in the wrong direction you can just turn the connector around on the board or switch it in the firmware.

Sorry to ask for help in these hard times, end of Solidoodle but i have a quick question regardinf the wiring of the stepper motor.
Following the death of my Stepper motor extruder et following the advice o AZERATE ( thanks to him smile ) , i bought a new one
However not having a connector already put i have to do the wiring myself. I found this:

Well, turn out it dont work, when i try, it just make on step and one step back continuously.

If you need any picture just say it and i'll do some.
