Same. The filament sensor however can be nice as it does stop it from printing in air.

But I print with a lot of clear filaments so I didn't use it.

Here is the connecter wiring if you need it.

Here is the wiring code. For the fan and the thermistor

PC Board wires

Yellow = Fan B+
Green = Fan B-

Orange / Black = Thermistor (no polarity)

The other wires are for the filament sensor and for the z probe. I didn't trace which ones go where for the others.
However if I where to hazard a guess the blue one is the z probe and the 2 red are the filament sensor.

Mine isn't even connected anymore, I removed the pcb some time ago.

I knew that this print job would cut it close with the amount of filament that was on the roll, but I figured worth trying.

It ran out 2 layers from finishing.

Problem is, once the Da Vince registers that the filament is out, it homes everything and asks to be refilled.

At that point, it is unresponsive to any G-code. So here I sit at work, monitoring on Octoprint, and I can't turn off the heat to the hotend or the bed!!

I am going to see if a buddy will go into my garage and just turn the printer off.

I think it is time to turn off the filament sensor...
