That is the setting I've been using, but it still decouples around 140ºC with this error,

< 12:42:24 PM: Error:One heater seems decoupled from thermistor - disabling all for safety!
< 12:42:24 PM: Error:Temp. raised to slow. Rise = 0.56 after 31233 ms

Temperatures on the bed and extruder seem to be pretty accurate at room temp.

Is this an issue more serious than the thermistor? I'm considering buying the $100 replacement head from davinci rather than going out and buying a new printer (not a davinci). But, I'd hate to drop that money into it, if the problem is something larger.

So a couple of questions. The new heater is 12 or 24 volt? What sensor in Repetier is being used for temp sensor 0? Should be set to 5. The decoupled error means it is not reaching the expected temp in the expected time. That time is usually about 15 minutes.

Heater decoupled error at 150ºC

I started getting the heater decoupled error after cleaning my nozzle in acetone.

Figured out that power wasn't going to the core (bad connection somewhere along the line) so I had to rewire that directly to the 12v output on the board. Still didn't work (got decoupled error in 2 minutes with no heat), so then I've replaced the entire nozzle/heater core/thermistor. Now the printer will heat up to 150ºC and then give me the error.

It seemed to take just as long to get to 150ºC as it used to take to get to 230ºC, do I need to change any settings in repetier after installing a new (non-stock) thermistor? Or does it look like my printer might just be dying an uneventful death?

Thanks
