https://www.soliforum.com/topic/13630/you-cant-have-any-pudding-if-you-dont-use-your-meat-thermometer/ Fri, 05 Feb 2016 15:50:47 +0000 PunBB https://www.soliforum.com/post/115861/#p115861 I used to have a lot of trouble with the PEEK J-Heads overheating and melting, so I drilled a hole in one of them and taped a type K thermocouple into it and monitored the temp with my multimeter.  That would probably be the best approach if you are looking to get a second opinion on hot end temp.  Also while heating my enclosure I taped the thermocouple so it would dangle near the nozzle so I could track the ambient temp at the print where it mattered.
