Thats no longer a problem with most boards. They meaning newer boards should of snubbing diodes to block back EMF on all the motor ports.

Just put it in a front or back seat where it wont slide around. If it is safe and comfortable to you, the printer should feel the same.

I want to transport it from one building to another. They are far enough away from each other that I have to use a car. What would be the best way to transport it without dammaging any parts?
I kept most of the packing material that came with it.
