You are most certainly welcome. We are here to help
Why are you looking at changing the Nema 14 motor? If it has failed, we offer replacements as well . Here is our full (short) motor catalog http://www.printitindustries.com/collections/motors. Either way, changing the motor should only be an EEPROM change, though Nema 17s typically weight more than the 14.

Goblin, DRV8825, and .9 are the bee's knees. That is my personal go to setup....and I own a Bulldog XL.
We offer all 3 for convenience.
http://www.printitindustries.com/collec … hm15-0904s
http://www.printitindustries.com/collec … obb-goblin
http://www.printitindustries.com/collec … er-drivers

Infomercial over

(cheapest)

goblin?
driver?
stepper?

Thank you (for the link too)

ps putting a 17 instead of the 14 is safe for the printboard? would I need to make firmware change?

You must have read that wrong. Elmoret was not explaining everything that needs to be done, he was giving a list of solutions. The combination of which would obliterate moire.
I have the Hobb Goblin and v6 on 3 machines which I use every day:
HG1) Hobb Goblin, .9 motor, DRV8825 (1/32 driver)
HG2) Hobb Goblin, 1.8 motor, DRV8825 (1/32 driver)
HG3) Hobb Goblin, 1.8 motor, A4988 (1/16 driver)

If you would prefer a .9 motor, we sell them here and we are stateside. While this motor helps no matter which gear you have, and I do recommend it as an E motor, it is not mandatory for the Goblin upgrade.
