My point is that

The hot end do not work out of the box (so to speak) without one of those 'solution'=hidden nescessary cost.
at least witha stock sd3.

Again, I do like the product, I just don't like to be forced to buy something else to make it work...

anyway, I'm glad that there is a solution, and that the problem is essentialy that the hotend is of such quality that under performing part (stock sd3) is the curlpit... they are definetly worse problem to have.

anyway.

What do you think is the better solution? (cheapest)

ps putting a 17 instead of the 14 is safe for the printboard? would  I need to make firmware change?

If you would prefer a .9 motor, we sell them here and we are stateside. While this motor helps no matter which gear you have, and I do recommend it as an E motor, it is not mandatory for the Goblin upgrade.

my clog was due to the ptfe not being proprely placed...

I still havnt found the bed temp issus, but I manage with pla.

If you don't know how to post the configuration.h, it calls into question how you updated the firmware. 

Did you use a pre-configured firmware image, or did you modify the configuration.h file yourself, then uploaded the modifications to your board.

I think you need to tells us the exact steps you took to update your firmware, because most of your problems seem to come from there.

I did not say,  That I did not know how to upload the firmware. I have said that I did not know how to DUMP the firmware from the motherboard,  then UPLOAD it.

I have a degree in computer tech, as a professional if want to trouble shot drivers program and stuff , posting drivers that are not loaded into the system seem to me completely useless.

I have been corrected,  in that regard by Wardjr , as  there is no way to get the actual firmware from the board, so the next best thing is to provide the source.

Then I did follow ED6 setup instruction.

Then because it wasn't working,  I re flashed back the original firmware, that Solidoodle SAV kindly email me.

Now with the link provided above I'm gonna test this firmware as this was definitely not the one I used. and will tell you the result.

I did not change the bed thermistor.

My Infra red thermometer can't read the temperature from the hot end even if I put some black marker on it. (it's a very cheap one). but I'm not too worried about it; as I have said I'm gonna use the P100 kit, and will go from there.

what I want is to get the bed working as before  and until I get the P100 I will use stock extruder with stock thermistor...

Ps is it better to get another V6 if I want to sawp PLA and ABS ?
in a dual extruder is it possible to have both as the same time ?

I completely forgotten the fact that effectively the V6 was more accurate as temperature reading was, so yes indeed I don't have to compensate the usual 15°c from stock reading.

I use ABS 215°c or PLA 195°c as usual.
