I would like to thank you for your kind comments.  Tim has been an invaluable resource to this community.  He helps whether or not one of his products is the subject.  Let me be the first to say our community simply would not be the same without his expertise.  It seems that most of the negative comments are from people that either don't follow his instruction or are put off by a short abrubt answer from him.  Those answers once put in context are (my observation) spot on accurate advice and instruction.  He answers to (my guess) thousands of users with questions.  That must be a daunting task, trying to answer and help everyone in a very timely fasion.  When dealing with 3D printing related products, there is an assumption that the end user of a product actually have a brain and/or is willing to engage said brain.  Unfortunately that is not always the case.  I understand how someone can get frustrated when things don't work out perfectly.  We have all been there and done that.  Fortunately, that's when someone like Tim chimes in to help us understand and learn from our mistakes.  For that I say thank you for everything Tim Elmore has taught or forced me to learn.

v1.5 and earlier kits didn't come with them. v1.6 onward did. You can check which version you have by the serial number.

I've decided to go with the an all Auminum custom housing on the rebuild and look forward to seeing how it goes.

Tim, Not sure about the stall protection board.  Could you describe it?  I put everything together and didn't have any other "boards" in the package.  I'll get you thr exact unit number tomorrow.  Also, I've been looking everywhere for the switches you include in the kit to no avail.  Could you point me in the right direction or sell me some from your stock?  I like yours and want all of the switches to match on the new system.

Back when those were made, the shaft collar wasn't full clamping and there weren't stall protection boards so there was less in the way of protection if things go wrong. The current Filastruder uses an aluminum chassis, no reports of damaged gearboxes yet but it also has the aforementioned full clamping shaft collar and a stall protection (current limiting) board.

If you decide against the above, the DXFs are on Thingiverse.

Also, what are you extruding? That doesn't look like the ABS included with the kit?

I can send new lasercut pieces but you'll have to figure out what caused it in the first place.
