Speaking of resin, the stuff they're using is a special formulation designed to work with their natural light DLP, whereas the rest of the stuff out there is designed to work with UV.

What happens if they go out of business, or decide to jack up the resin price to 4-5 times the current cost?

I know it sounds very cool and all, but $7500 is more than I'm willing to risk on something I can't personally see or at least get some impartial feedback on.

Yeah, that bothers me too. Could it be that it is in that awkward market niche where industrial users have no need to scrimp down for a cheap SLA printer and guys like us have a hard time ponying up for $7.5k? Also, I don't think they have any resins yet except the orange.

Me? I like the speed and large size, it should work well for  small production operation. Otherwise, I'd be shooting for a Formlabs Form 1 or 2 which does have the clear, rubber and black resins I want.

Since I hadn't heard of the Solidator before, I looked it up, and one thing that bothers me about it is that it has no reviews to speak of. 

There's a lot of discussion about it on various forums, talk about what it should be capable of based on specs, but no actual reviews, no one posting anything based on hands on experience.   

Even the Kickstarter has only a few comments going back to about the time where a couple of early backers were getting the printer, then everything stopped.
