Hairspray & glass. I have to pry most of my PLA prints off with a single edged razor blade, the ABS are little easier. Windex, warm water & a paper towel cleans the glass down to the shine, which I do maybe once a week.
I still use the 3 clips to hold everything together and spray the glass out of the printer most of the time.

I use hairspray directly on glass . And I use a IIRC 1 dollar razor scraper to pry off small prints.
You can use an 8' square box to mask the area . I take my glass out to spray.

what carl said - let it cool and it will practically fall off the bed. If you are in a hurry pull the glass and stick it in the freezer for a couple minutes.

or do what I do - use a single edge razor to get under the edge all the way around - if it doesn't pop off easily after that, then I use the putty knife under it.

either way, letting it cool at least a little bit helps a great deal

A towel/cloth that is damp with acetone which most of us have if we 3d print takes hairspray right off. Alcohol works as well. If you mean the model is hard to get off then you are not letting it cool fully. If you use hairspray then let it cool to room temp the model would fall off the bed if tilted.

the reson I dont want to use hairspray directly on to the glassbed is that its so damn hard to get it off..

I got rid of the blue tape and used my worst gluestick insted with 60 degree bed, I will do a print and see if its working.

have my glass stuck down with the hairspray as well so i use a few rags to cover the rods & extruder when spraying.

drop the bed well away from everything, drape rags over the rods & stuff, and spray.
once the vapor clears, remove the rags and print as normal.

Here is a mod I made to the hairspray can to get better accuracy of the spray area.

The trigger top just pops off the air duster and fits perfectly on top of the Aquanet can. You can now spray in small controlled bursts, and into small areas without overspray.

I spray inside the printer pretty liberally, as I don't like removing the glass. As the glass is stuck down also with hairspray, I find that it will always need re-levelling if I do remove it (I'm not as keen as carl is on cleaning it...). So there's at least one reason I can see to continue this reckless behaviour...

That said, I have linear bearings on x & y: the plastic seals on the bearings seem to push most contamination out of the way without getting jammed. The hairspray overspray doesn't stick to the oily surface very well. The bronze bushings, I suspect, are much fussier.

The bushings will push most of the grease out of the way, whatever's left is as much grease as is ever going to stay on those rods. So once you've got full coverage and a touch spare at the ends, it's enough grease. I guess maybe a more frequent clean and lube of the rods will be all you need to do to avoid this in the future. Reminds me I should probably attend to mine!

And yeah, ditch the tape (how well they work does seem to vary by brand, some are waxier than others). Instead, get a piece of glass (hardware store might cut-to size, otherwise IKEA has 20x20cm mirrors I think - any old glass is fine, 3mm and up), and basically do what you're doing now (hairspray + 60C for PLA). You'll be super pleased.

Hmm. I have try ony tape. but it wont stick to it.
If I apply heat, it will stick, but not as good as it sticks with hairspray.

I have 4 screws holding my bed, and I dont want to remove them everytime.

I apply the hairspray just before the print starts, and than its really sticky, everything gets stuck on to it.

Maby I have to give only the tape a try again.

Most of us that use or at least I use hairspray with a removable glass plate. I spray both side of the plate then put it on the bed. Heat it twice which cause the spray to dry and the spray on the back actually holds the glass to the plate for 10 prints minimum. When it comes loose, I wash and spray it again.

Honestly if you use hairspray you should not need tape. And if you use tape with PLA you should not need heat. The Makerbots all use tape and print PLA with no heat.

I use hairspray on the blue tape and 50-60 degree heated bed for my PLA. Today my printers Y-axis just jammed and just stop in the middle of a print.

The hairspray made the metalbar that the extruder moves on so sticky it could not move. So just a warning, put alot of greese on the metaltubes so it dont break.

I had some greese on it, but it wasnt enough.
