			<description><![CDATA[<p>I still have a copy of Alibre CAD that is still quite useful and work fine for 3d printing.<br />The one that I actualy use most of the time and is loaded on my laptop is 123D design. <br />this seems the most useful of the current free software. <br />FreeCAD works OK . <br />OScad I have not wrapped my head around. <br />scetchup I have not liked.&nbsp; <br />Tin</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>use primarily 123D Design and Blender for the greater majority of my modeling needs<br />Netfabb Basic for repairing non-manifold stuff<br />Have Meshmixer, but dont really use it much, so not very familiar with it</p><p>tried Sketchup - didnt like it at all.<br />have Sculptris (free from Z-Brush) but havent really played with it too much yet to really get a handle on it<br />Have a couple of others I downloaded, but havent tried out yet as well... </p><p>I wont use any program that relies on an internet connection - living in the boonies our internet is not robust enough, or fast enough, for that.</p><p>too many options, not enough time! <img src="https://www.soliforum.com/img/smilies/hmm.png" width="15" height="15" alt="hmm" /></p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>OK, let&#039;s see...</p><p>Sketchup (gave up on it a year ago)<br />Solidworks this is my primary modeling program<br />Meshlab for cleaning and tweaking, especially for post scan cleanup<br />Meshmixer (love the sculpting features)<br />NetFabb for fixing and and cleaning models<br />3D Studio Max.&nbsp; Still trying to learn it, but I need to dedicate more time to it.</p>]]></description>

I&#039;m one of the lucky ones that works for a company that has access to a lot of engineering software.</p><p><strong>Software:</strong> PTC Creo Parametric<br /><strong>Versions:</strong> 2.0 &amp; 3.0<br /><strong>Avg Cost:</strong> $5K-$8K (<em>depending on modules used</em>)<br /><strong>Usability:</strong> For the Intermediate/Advanced Modeler (<em>Must have some modeling experience</em>)<br /><strong>Desc:</strong> This software has an abundance of features and automation abilities, but its not an easy software to learn.</p>]]></description>
