After looking at a Pro I can say the big changes are the metal bed and a Bowden extruder plus the ability to use other than XYZ filament. I was surprised to see it printing at 15mm/s on a .200 layer height though as the Bowden setup, with the extruder motor mounted on the frame, should be able to run faster than the DaVinci 1.0.

I am using Da Vinci Duo and received an email about trading in my old one and get the new 1.0 Pro for $499. I have 2 questions:
1. other than the support for generic filament, did they make any other major improvements? calibration?
2. if I traded it in, they said they won't support the old one I have. Does anyone know if I can still use it or they will turn it off via software?

Thanks,
TOKA
